Most recently, I attended a LES MILLS™ BODYCOMBAT™ class exclusively conducted at True Fitness by Brazilian LES MILLS™ instructor, Marcelo Capi. The new Regional Fitness Manager of True Fitness and his team of instructors were incredibly enthusiastic, keeping the class very motivated. Instructions were clear and precise so I was able to follow them despite being a newbie.
LES MILLS™ BODYCOMBAT™ is a cardio class that mixes different types of martial arts such as Boxing, Taekwondo, Karate and Muay Thai. Don’t worry if you don’t know any of these martial arts; prior knowledge is not necessary to attend the class because you can easily pick up the moves in the class. The kicks, punches and movement of the body target all major muscle groups, so you will be sore at the end of the 60-min session. Really, really sore. A one hour class can help you burn up to 800 calories. Of course, amidst torching your fats and giving your heart a workout, you get to have a lot of fun!
The moves in a BODYCOMBAT™ class include guard, jab, cross, hook, upper cut, front kick, and side kick. These may sound a mouthful now but your instructor will explain and show you what the moves are.
