Opening your eyes to Onsen Secret

JKJ visits the Onsen outlet at Mandarin Gallery as a mystery shopper and has his eyes opened.

JKJ, contributor for janiqueel.com, took one look at my face after my facial treatment at the Onsen outlet in Mandarin gallery and swooned. He swooned! OK, I exaggerate a bit, but he did have to admit that there was a certain inner glow and suppleness that hadn’t been there before the soothing therapy.

JKJ:

I didn’t’ really need moral(!) support. I could have done it on my own, but it was reassuring to have a familiar face nearby – a supple face glowing from within.

Sim was cordial and chatty. Cherry, less verbose, was nevertheless an interested and wholly pleasant presence. She later served refreshing drinks as we debriefed my experience. As a team, the pair knew how to make the client feel important and special. I liked them. Sim wanted to pinpoint the area that needed help, and we collaboratively decided that my eyes and the puffiness beneath them were a good target. The puffiness, I knew (but wisely didn’t express), was the result of stress contingent on being a staff writer for janiqueel.com. She can be assertive. Quite assertive.

With the eyes identified as the area that needed the most help, Sim proceeded to administer to my right eye only. This, so that I could see the difference between after the Bio-Cell mask treatment. Yes, he then concentrated on the left and the transformation was complete. A younger man walked out of the studio winking and blinking with delight at all he met. I exaggerate, but the change was dramatic and energizing.

Sim was careful to point out that more permanent change is possible only after a period of time say, six months, of lesser usage of Bio-Cell Mask. Then though, one can give the application a break for a while before entering into the regimen again. Those fortunate enough to have a time machine don’t have to repeat at all. For the rest of us who reside in the mortal coil, however, the Onsen suite of therapeutic serums, moisturizers, gels, and creams are an efficient alternative.

Here are some of the products that I either tried or that Sim described:

Aloe Gel Cleanser  (5.6oz / S$120)  For oily to combination skin types. Relaxes the skin while thoroughly cleansing and removing makeup and contaminants. For deep cleansing, leave on for 10 minutes before rinsing.

Purifying Facial Peel (1.7oz / S$250) – This highly effective exfoliator works to eliminate dry, dull skin cells and toxins without the use of harsh chemicals or rough granules. Works gently but effectively to give your skin a fresh start toward a smooth, radiant complexion. My skin better absorbs the skincare and reaps its benefits after using this chemical peel.

Hydrol Collagen Serum (1oz / S$360) –This energizing serum penetrates deep into the layers of the skin, providing instant and long-term firming, hydration, and nourishment. Not sticky, refreshing!

BIO-Cell Mask (1oz / S$1070) – left on for 30 minutes, the mask will stretch and lift for wrinkle relief. A wonder-mask for the elimination and prevention of deep wrinkles. This non-invasive facelift mask has amazing immediate results and also long term benefits as it improves skin and smooths wrinkles away. Amazing!

Left of the photo is after using Crystal Salt Scrub

Crystal Salt Scrub (13.8oz / S$105) – this is for the body, NOT the face. It employs natural sea salt to scrub away dry skin.

Thanks, Janiqueel for giving me the opportunity to experience the Onsen treatment. Thanks, Cherry and Sim for making the experience instructive and enjoyable.
