Join thousands at this first-of-its-kind YOLO Run in Asia and with each shirtless runner, a shirt goes out to an underprivileged child
For the first time in Asia, going shirtless will be the way to show how You Only Live Once (YOLO). Free yourselves on Sunday, 22 November 2015, 8 am to 12 pm at Gardens by the Bay and run shirtless for a good cause.
Ever looked twice in the mirror before deciding to step out of your home? Or felt ashamed and insecure because you looked different from your peers? Conceptualised by X-Change Republic Pte Ltd, the YOLO Run is a 5km stretch that aims to celebrate individuality, diversity and the courage to live life with a pinch of excitement and a whole lot of audacity.
“The inaugural YOLO Run aims to push the boat out with the bravery of individuals to live freely and purposefully. To go beyond more than just sweating it out for a five-kilometre, we want to challenge participants to race shirtless and liberate themselves from their inner insecurities,” said YOLO Run 2015 race director, Brandon Lee. He added, “And to truly free the participants’ minds and connect their body and soul, YOLO Run will end on a high note with a mass yoga session. It’s time to live like how you’ll live only once – get your Zen on and get your sexy back!”
Ladies are encouraged to race in their exclusive YOLO Run sports bra which comes with the race pack. As for the gentlemen, get the guns out when the sun is out as well with the exclusive YOLO Run singlet. A finisher T-shirt along with a yoga mat will be part of the race entitlements to accompany the participants in the mass yoga session.
As the organisers aim to break into the Singapore Book of Records for the most number of shirtless runners at an event, YOLO Runners can also participate in exciting fringe activities as the race promises surprise YOLO Zones complementing the dynamic YOLO shirtless vibe at the run for an extraordinary time of your life!
YOLO Run also believes in giving back to the society. With every shirtless runner, X-Change Republic Pte Ltd will donate a T-shirt to the underprivileged children in developing countries in partnership with the T Foundation, a non-profit organisation committed to the development and spread of entrepreneurship around the globe. In case some are already getting their YOLO Run hype on a step early, we repeat: It’s shirtless, not topless!
