Celebrate Mother’s Day with a Taste of Southern Italy

This Mother’s Day, pamper mum with a uniquely Italian feast. Nestled away in a quiet corner of Robertson Quay, away from the hustle and bustle of the city, Limoncello Restaurant offers a Mother’s Day menu especially prepared to celebrate mum’s special place in our lives.

A memorable dining experience is not just about good food, but also about a pleasant dining environment. Limoncello offers an al fresco dining area with a serene view of the Singapore River and a tranquil, cascading waterfall, as well as an indoor dining area, where the crackling of Limoncello’s very own stone pizza oven lends a homely atmosphere. Patrons who are spoilt for choice on what to order can ease slowly into their appetites with a few refreshing drinks at the outdoor bar.

Limoncello serves authentic Southern Italian cuisine – dishes that resonate with the palates and memories of Amalfi Coast. The restaurant’s specialties such as napolitana wood-fired pizzas made from white brick oven and charcoal-grilled seafood. The kitchen is also helmed by Chef Mauro Crescendo, who is a native of Amalfi Coast himself.

“Mothers have always been an integral part of traditional Italian culture,” comments Chef Mauro Crescendo. “We pride ourselves in providing one of the most authentic Italian dining experiences as we stay true to our Italian roots. Hence, we have decided to create a special Mother’s Day menu where diners will be able to experience Southern Italy with their mothers through a feast filled with tradition and home.”

A Delectable Tribute for Mum

Tantalise taste buds with two antipasti dishes: Portobello Al Tartufo, oven-baked Portobello mushroom done to a tender perfection with fresh sautéed spinach and drizzled generously with truffle sauce, and Sauté Vongole, where fresh clams are sautéed in a buttery and fragrant white wine sauce.

For mains, the menu showcases Fettuccine Con Frattaglie di Wagyu: Organic fettuccine is done al-dente and tossed over stir-fried mushrooms and sliced wagyu beef in natural juice. This unique take on pasta gives the dish a distinctive flavour that is gentle and pleasing at the same time. Discerning diners with a penchant for seafood may opt for the signature Branzino Al Sale, salt-baked catch of the day– a humble dish that is uniquely Italian.

What better way to complete a meal than with a deliciously sweet treat? Desserts featured in Limoncello’s Mother’s Day menu include the crowd-pleasing Limoncello Cake and ever-popular Tiramisu. The warm Limoncello Cake is infused with limoncello liqueur, almonds and white chocolate. It also contains hints of lemon and orange rinds that introduce a hint of zest with every mouthful. On the other hand, coffee-lovers will relish in Limoncello’s Tiramisu where layers of savoiardi are dipped in espresso and amaretto, finished with a delicate layer of cocoa to give it a bittersweet balance.

Diners will also enjoy complimentary welcome drinks as well as a bottle of selected red or white wine.
