Food Junction unveils its first Thematic Food Court

Food Junction is proud to reveal its revamped food court at Bugis, including the rebranded Toast Junction. Boasting a renewed clean-cut look, the new Food Junction has also adopted the concept of an art market, endeavouring to be the first food hub that promotes good food, comfort and the appreciation of art in perfect unison. With the Bugis Art Market, Food Junction celebrates the opening of a new food hub and a new milestone.
The Art Wall Collaboration for Two Children Charities
Located within an arts and cultural precinct, Food Junction is pleased to announce its collaboration with The RICE Company Limited in curating and showcasing the first collection of art pieces for the Art Market walls. Branded as The Art Walls, it is a stretch of three walls within the Art Market specially dedicated for Singapore’s young and talented artists as they contribute their paintings in a bid to raise funds for their less-privileged peers.
Net proceeds from the sale of these paintings will go The Business Times Budding Artists Fund (BT BAF) and The Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund (ST SPMF). BT BAF provides fully-sponsored arts training for children and youth from financially-disadvantaged families and ST SPMF disburses pocket money to children from low-income families.
The Art Walls will be reserved for this collaboration for six months to one year with a new collection showcased every three months. The debut theme for The Art Walls is Marine Life.
The Art Wall @ Food Junction, Bugis was launched 8th May 2014, Thursday. by Food Junction CEO Ms Teo Chew Hoon & Business Times Editor, Mr Alvin Tay. This is the first charity Art Wall in a food court and all proceeds from sale of the art pieces will go towards The Business Times Budding Artists Fund (BT BAF) and The Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund (ST SPMF). Due to tremendous support, all art pieces received bids within an hour of the launch.

Toast Junction
Toast Junction in Bugis Food Junction’s Art Market is the first rebranded Toast@Work unveiled in Singapore. With a brand new logo, and modern, calming interiors, Toast Junction is now contemporary, chic and the new place to be for food lovers.
Toast Junction serves nostalgic yet popular signatures such as traditional brown toasts with homemade kaya and butter, perfectly timed half-boiled eggs and its signature beehoon, served with a great selection of scrumptious ingredients. A cup of full-bodied and aromatic coffee completes the breakfast experience of the day. New menu introductions to the brand include Mee Siam, Mee Rebus and the Curry Chicken that cannot go wrong with a crispy loaf. Continuing the toast and coffee legacy, the brand is refreshed and with the same good coffee and timeless local fare and more, it can only be better and tastier.
Stylized, Functional & Comfortable Interiors
Discarding the conventional mishmash of a dining hall, the interior design of Bugis Food Junction takes the leap into a more leading-edge appearance and youthful feel, culminating in a clean-cut finishing that is aesthetically comfortable. Handicapped-friendly features, power points, stall directories and signages in the food court are all part of functionality and enhancing the customers’ convenience.
For optimum comfort, original designer chairs from Jasper Morrison and Robin Day, and booth seats are introduced in the food court. The acoustic ceiling, made of sound absorbing material like cork, reduce sound reflection and together with an airy environment, these improvements make Bugis Food Junction ideal for dining and meetings.
Melting Pot of Memorable Nostalgic Delights
Boasting a wide range of local favourites, the new food court is now home to popular nostalgic brands such as Odeon Beef Noodles, Koo Kee Yong Tau Foo and the famous Capitol Puay Heng Minced Meat Noodles.
Capitalizing on its strategic location in a bustling spot that welcomes youngsters, tourists and hip shoppers, Bugis Food Junction aims to be the new joint for trendy and healthy desserts. It has brought in new kid on the block, Yogurberry, the Korean branded yoghurt. Made with natural fruit sugars, Yogurberry is famous amongst Hollywood celebrities. A new kiosk serving ice creams, sundaes, slush and floats has also been introduced to heighten the sweet sensation.

Help yourself at the Yogurberry dispenser!
Pick your toppings!

Bugis Soup Master – Blissful Blessings. The chicken was soft and tender. The soup was tasty too!

Yong Xin Hokkien Mee – Hokkien Mee was my personal favourite. It was mashed up and had a strong aroma.

Capitol Puay Heng Minced Meat Noodle –
Minced Meat Noddles was springy and generous in ingredients.

Odeon Beef House – Dry Beef Noddles. You can either choose dry or wet. The gravy gave the noodles a great texture.

Candid shot of Winston and Christina!
Love at food tasting <3

Makan Bagus Nasi Padang –
Ayam Penyet. The batter skin of the smashed chicken was  good. The interior was a little too dry on some parts. The sambal chili was spicy yet addictive. It complemented the chicken well.

My favourite was the BBQ Chicken. Yumm..
Salmon & Teriyaki chicken set – Nothing extraordinary about this set, but it taste decent.
Yogurberry dessert!
With Li Qin and Christina.
Faithful lover
