Eight new Charity Bundles will avail direct donations of canned food items to local charities
Singapore, 9 December 2014 – In this season of giving, local manufacturing company, Ayam Brand, recognises the charitable efforts by fellow Singaporeans. In support of the spirit of philanthropy, Ayam Brand has launched Charity Bundles online to allow public to make an easy donation to a charity organisation of their choice.
Ayam Brand has specially selected frequently purchased items for donations, into eight different Charity Bundle sets. Sold exclusively on HealthyGourmet.sg, and priced from a range of $100 to $500, the Charity Bundles seek to cater to the various budgets which individuals or organisations may have.
The products in the Charity Bundles comprise of a range of canned food items such as Ayam Brand Sardines, Baked Beans and Corn, all of which are awarded the ‘Healthier Choice Symbol’ by Health Promotion Board (HPB), providing needy families with nutritious and healthy food meals. All Charity Bundles are also Halal-certified, allowing them to be suitable for any charity organisation. Please refer to Annex A for full product information of the Charity Bundles.
In addition, Ayam Brand will offer a direct delivery service for the Charity Bundles, to ensure that all purchases of these Charity Bundles will be sent directly to the chosen charity organisations by the customer.
“The Ayam Brand Charity Bundles has provided me with a lot of convenience. Purchasing food items on my own can be quite time-consuming, and it is rather heavy to carry these food items home. With the Ayam Brand Charity Bundles, it has helped me to save a lot of time and logistical efforts. I am glad that I can purchase these food items easily online, and even select not just one charity, but to other charities too. There’s also the assurance that what I’ve donated is sent straight to the needy, which is a bonus. I do hope that with this added convenience, more fellow Singaporeans will be encouraged to make a simple donation to the needy,” says Terence Chan, a frequent donor of food items to charity organisations.
Now, with a click of a mouse, a simple food donation can be done at home or in the office. So spread the love and give the gift of love to people who need it the most, anytime of the year.

About Ayam Brand
120 years ago, our founder – Alfred Clouet created the brand consisting of a rooster in a rounded belt that had his name on it. He started importing sardines with the rooster brand in 1899. As members of the trade and consumers started giving the name “Cap Ayam” to these canned sardines for easy reference, Mr Clouet then had a genius idea to take on this local name which is a unique blend of Malay and English. In modern terms, that would probably be named as “a user-generated” brand.
One of the greatest achievements in Ayam Brand’s marketing history was winning a gold medal at the Universal Exposition in Paris (1900), canned food was highly regarded as top technology then. This medal can still be seen on the Sardines and the Mackerel cans today. Ayam Brand’s mission has always been focused on the simple and recognised idea of providing loyal consumers with products of a distinctive quality.
Ayam Brand possesses a deep knowledge about its products, from sourcing of the raw materials; managing the production, to marketing expertise and research. It maintains high level control over its quality to ensure consistency for all the products.
Ayam brand is now available in 30 countries including Australia, Canada, USA and Europe with the help of its latest acquisition in 2012, a distribution company in Paris, France.
