As the originator of the cultured pearl, MIKIMOTO continues to devise a wide array of creations in its enhanced pursuit of beauty. One stop on Mikimoto’s journey that helped to bring about his worldwide recognition is a place located very far away from Japan: Paris, France. MIKIMOTO held an exhibition at the 1937 Paris International Exposition featuring its yaguruma sash clip, which was met with high commendation.
MIKIMOTO subsequently opened a shop in Paris’ Place Vendôme, which houses only the most globally-acclaimed jewellers.
