Palette Japan Brings Traditional Japanese Craft to Isetan Pop-Up from 2 to 15 October 2026

Tomoko Ota, founder of Palette Japan, renowned craft expert and author, will be in Singapore this October for an exclusive full day of Japanese craft at Isetan Scotts, Level 1.

Held exclusively with Palette Japan, the event invites the public to shop exclusive Tsumami Zaiku merchandise handcrafted by certified artisans, and to attend hands-on workshops in Tsumami Zaiku, Sashiko and Mizuhiki.  The public can also meet and greet Tomoko Ota on 2 October from 7pm to 9pm, 3 October from 3pm to 8pm, and 5 October from 3pm to 8pm.

As part of Isetan’s Japan Living and Lifestyle event, Palette Japan will be showcasing and retailing a curated range of handcrafted accessories, gifts and merchandise made using traditional Tsumami Zaiku techniques. Each piece is handcrafted by our locally certified trainers, bringing authentic Japanese craftsmanship to shoppers looking for unique, one of a kind items for themselves or as gifts.

Customised Tsumami Zaiku Merchandise

Beyond the workshops, visitors can also shop and customise Tsumami Zaiku merchandise to their own preference, whether for themselves or as gifts. The range includes accessories such as earrings, pendants and key chains, as well as bags, hair accessories and kanzashi, along with home display decor pieces and art pieces crafted using traditional Tsumami Zaiku techniques. Each piece is personally handcrafted by trained and certified artisan trainers, allowing customers to select their own colours and designs for a one of a kind piece with genuine Japanese craftsmanship.
