Comparing Hong Kong hotel views: InterContinental or Conrad?

This past week I spent a couple of nights in one of my favorite city in the world – Hong Kong.  There’s simply no other city in the world that’s quite as exciting to me as Hong Kong, and if it weren’t so expensive I’d probably move there in a heartbeat. Not only is the city my favorite, but I also love the skyline more than any other in the world.

InterContinental Hong Kong

Just another fascinating harbor view from one of the very best hotels in Hong Kong. Located in a harbor-facing position in Kowloon, InterContinental Hong Kong is the perfect hotel for those wishing to enjoy a beautiful panoramic view of Hong Kong’s skyline, including the iconic landmark tower of Bank of China. I would highlight three special location for you to enjoy a perfect hotel view: the infinity pool, the hotel’s lounge and, last but not least, your room with a fascinating harbor view. The hotel’s spa, inspired by Feng Shui principles, offers relaxing treatments so you may end another frenetic Hong Kong day in style. This is indeed an elegant address for your next stay in Kowloon.

My plan was to swim and enjoy the Jacuzzi with the view. But was stopped in my tracks by this very friendly #TaiChi…

If you want to feast – in every sense – on the iconic view of Hong Kong island’s spectacular skyline from Kowloon-side, this is the place to do it. All the InterContinental’s restaurants and suites, and two-thirds of its rooms, have harbour views.

Room view from Conrad

Conrad Hong Kong

Conrad Hong Kong offers generously sized rooms, many with a breathtaking harbor or Victoria’s Peak view. The heated outdoor swimming pool, surrounded by skyscrapers, is perfect for a relaxing swim with an impressive Hong Kong skyline view. For extra convenience, the upscale Pacific Place is just a few steps away from the hotel. Guests will find multiple dining options at the prestigious Conrad Hong Kong, among the best hotels in the city.

We deserve a dip after an arduous afternoon no? And fill our tummy. The Hainanese Chicken Rice and Singapore Sling at Conrad Hong Kong was surprisingly good! (or was I just hungry?)

A good, conveniently-located hotel that’s been in Hong Kong since 1990. More luxurious hotels have arrived in the city since then, but the Conrad has a loyal business clientele that values its reliability, great views and executive lounge.

I enjoyed dinner at Nobu InterContinental HK and absolutely love the cod fish. A great way to start my HK adventure. As for Conrad HK, the concierge service was impeccable. Justin and Yoda were great help as I had several courier deliveries to expect. To be frank, I don’t know what I’ll do without them.
