Singapore audiences are in for a spectacular orchestral experience celebrating the maestro of movie music, John Williams 90th birthday year with two concerts at Sands Theatre this 15 and 16 July. Conducted by the charismatic Jessica Gethin and performed live by The Base Philharmonic Orchestra,John Williams 90th Concert Gala is a fitting honour to the most successful, recognised and influential film music composer in our time.

For more than half a century, Williams has shaped the history and sound of film music; his instantly memorable themes and consummate orchestrations gracing some of the finest movies of modern times. Scoring more than a hundred films,Williams has received countless prestigious awards, including five Academy Awards, 52 Oscar nominations, 25 Grammys, seven British Academy Awards (BAFTA), four Golden Globes, five Emmys, and numerous gold and platinum records.

In this once-in-a-lifetime concert presented by Asia Pacific’s leading live entertainment company Base Entertainment Asia,John Williams 90th Concert Gala will feature nearly two hours of the legendary composer’s well-known movie themes of all time including Star Wars, Jurassic Park, Superman, E.T., Jaws, Schindler’s List, Harry Potter, Indiana Jones to name a few.
