Spoiled for choice: SIX Dining in One Hotel

The New World Millennium Hong Kong with Janiqueel

One cannot think well, love well, sleep well, if one has not dined well.

Virginia Woolf

Although each dining venue in the New World Millennium Hong Kong Hotel offers a variety of menu items to suit any time of day, let’s have a look at the options for a day (or more!) of excellent eating at this smart, five-star hotel in cosmopolitan Hong Kong:

Café East

Café East offers both International seafood buffet later in the day, but to get your day off to a really good start, let me recommend the breakfast buffet. With the greenery of a garden setting, a welcoming staff, and Asian and western food. You’re off to a grand start.

Tao Li

Tao Li has fine views of Victoria Harbour, as well as great Cantonese food and dim sum. See the ‘Nostalgic Cantonese” section of the menu for authentic Chinese food. Sample many tastes with the All-You-Can-Eat Dim Sum Buffet.

Business Hours
noon – 2:30 p.m., 6:30 – 10:30 p.m. daily
(Open at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday and Public Holidays)

The Lounge

The Lounge Set Lunch is a mid-day treat from tasty appetizers to desserts to dream of. Floor-to-ceiling windows bathe diners in daylight. In the afternoon, enjoy a “Tea-lightful” experience with pastries and (my favorite) scones with cream.

Business Hours
10 a.m. – 8 p.m. daily

La Table French Brasserie

La Table French Brasserie is a relaxed venue in which to enjoy menu items from all parts of France. One of the various lunch sets is a good way to taste some of the specialties –  Beef Burger with French Ham and Raclette Cheese caught my eye and I’m glad it did.

Business Hours
noon – 2:30 p.m., 6:30 – 10:30 p.m. daily
Closed on Sunday and Public Holidays

The Residence Lounge and Bar

The Residence Lounge and Bar with, arguably, some of the best views of Victoria Harbour in Tsim Sha Tsui East, the Residence has a Happy Hour and an interesting choice of smacks and light treats. Stylish, warm, and ready to help you relax, the Residence awaits.

Sagano

Sagano where diners are immersed in Kyoto style amid wood and bamboo is a tranquil, stylish choice for Wagyu beef, seafood, and sushi. Chef Yusaku Suzuki is ready to be creative in his interpretations of Kyoto-style cuisine.

Business Hours
noon – 2:30 p.m., 6:30 – 10:30 p.m. daily

Ranzan, (located inside Sagano) complete with teppanyaki tables and a marvelous view of the Harbour, is a venue where delicious Japanese grills meet performance art with swinging knives, repartee, delightful aromas, and a large selection of sakes. Kanpei!

Enjoy the gustatory delights at the New World Millennium in Hong Kong.
