“What Spur Shoes stands is the 3 most important factors, Comfort, Style and Price.” There you have it – a mission statement! SPUR Urban Mine Shoes is a Korean brand and they are proud of it. All the shoes are handcrafted in Korea, and that’s a big deal, not just an empty boast. Handcrafted shoes are special they provide the aforementioned style and comfort. To do so at a reasonable price is no small feat, small feet? No problem – with a range of styles and sizes from which to choose, small feet, large feet, and medium feet can find joy and style at Urban Mine.
Let’s start with comfort. Spur Shoes Urban Mine is talking about 7 LAYERS OF COMFORT. Janiqueel explored the concept and found that the seven layers are:
- the UPPER (the stylish part that one sees most of the time);
- a POLYURETHANE RESIN INSOLE;
- an INNER LAYER CUSHION;
- a CORK MIDSOLE;
- ARCH SUPPORT;
- ANKLE SUPPORT in the MIDDLE SOLE

There is a cross-section diagram of all this on the website, but it’s worth enumerating to accentuate the fact that Spur shoes are special. These shoes are hand-built for comfort. “For once pretty shoes don’t bite!”
Take, for instance, the Anik Leather Sneakers in Pink that I don these days for my daily outing to the neighbourhood park accompanied by my comfortable companion – MR C! Yes, we are social-distancing. Yes, we are masked. Yes, it feels so good to be outside.
