NATAS Travel 2014’s theme is “NATAS Takes You There”, and from 28 February – 02 March 2014 at Singapore Expo Halls 3, 4 and 5A, you can be sure that they will do exactly that! Numbering at 160, our exhibitors – made up of travel agents, attractions, hotels, national tourism organizations and other travel-related companies – will tempt visitors with an amazing variety of attractive promotions and incredible deals. Wherever visitors wish to go, and whatever they wish to do, our exhibitors will be on hand to offer a variety of products and services that will help visitors fulfill their dreams and desires. The sheer number of packages and itineraries available will appeal even to the most seasoned traveller!
“Singaporeans are seasoned travellers who have seen much of what the world has to offer, and are setting their sights on exotic and long-haul destinations,” said Ms Patricia Auyeong, Acting CEO of NATAS, “Wherever they wish to go, I am sure that our exhibitors at NATAS Travel 2014 will be more than capable of matching their desires.”
The year of 2014 marks the 35th anniversary of NATAS! The association has come a long way from its humble beginnings in 1979, when it had just 82 members, to where it stands today, with over 400! “It has been a very fruitful and exciting 35 years for the association and its members,” said Ms Auyeong, “In celebration of this remarkable milestone, NATAS will be presenting a cheque of $35,000 to Community Chest, in donation to 3 schools for students with special needs – THK* EIPIC, Rainbow Centre, and Pathlight School – at our opening ceremony during NATAS Travel 2014.” She added: “We also warmly welcome the generosity of members of the public who would like to join us in this donation drive. If you would like to donate as well, please look out for the donation boxes located at our ticketing booths.”
Members of the public can look out for NATAS-accredited professionals – exceptional individuals who have been accredited under the NATAS Accreditation Framework and have been recognized by the industry for their extensive qualifications and experience. Those seeking greater peace of mind and higher service standards when booking their holiday can look for these professionals, who can be identified by the photo-card they will be wearing.
Worried that you will be worn out by the sheer excitement of booking a dream holiday? Fret not! The stage performances make their return at NATAS Travel 2014, featuring a new line-up of programmes that will appeal to both the young and old! “Whether for a family vacation, honeymoon or a getaway with friends – Singapore’s appetite for travel is growing and on the rise. The latest MasterCard Survey on Consumer Purchasing Priorities shows that 82 per cent of Singapore residents who travelled in 2013 plan to travel comparably or more in 2014. This, coupled with the fact that spend by MasterCard cardholders at the NATAS fairs in 2013 was among the top spend days for MasterCard in Singapore, is a strong indication of the success and continued appeal of NATAS travel fairs,” said Ms. Julienne Loh, General Manager of Singapore, MasterCard.
