When I found out we’d be staying in the Palace Suite on Resorts World Cruises, I knew it would be luxurious. After all, a 4D3N getaway in this suite costs around S$2,500 for two people—is it worth it?
Welcome to the Palace
If you’ve ever been on Resorts World Cruises, you might’ve noticed some areas are off-limits. Those spaces? They’re exclusively for Palace guests. Being a Palace guest means enjoying perks like a private lounge, restaurants, a spa, a pool, a sun deck, and of course, staying in luxurious rooms.
Our VIP treatment started right away with priority check-in and our own elevator to get to the suite quickly.
The Room: Palace Suite
There are four types of Palace rooms, with the Palace Suite being the entry-level option. But make no mistake—it’s still very fancy.
The suite is spacious at 37sqm, with room for up to four people. It has a queen-sized bed, a double sofa bed, a private balcony, and a bathroom with a bathtub. Plus, you get extras like a stocked minibar, a Nespresso machine, and luxurious linens.
And let me tell you, that bed was amazing. As someone who values quality sleep, I was impressed. It felt like snuggling into clouds, making every night a true luxury.
The Perks of Being a Palace Guest
Being a Palace guest means more than just a nice room. It’s like having an all-access pass to the best the cruise has to offer.
- Butler Service: We had a dedicated butler, Timmy, who helped us plan our day, book dinner reservations, and even surprise us with thoughtful touches, like checking on us during meals.
- Exclusive Facilities: Forget the crowded public pool and sun deck. Palace guests have their own private areas for swimming, relaxing, or stargazing. The views, especially at sunset, were breathtaking.
- Fine Dining: Palace guests enjoy set menus at specialty restaurants, saving around S$300 per person. Highlights included Umi Uma and Silk Road Chinese Restaurant. Tip: Try a different restaurant for each meal!
- Free Drinks: Coffee, tea, and chilled drinks are free all day. Plus, there’s a happy hour with free-flow alcohol from 5–7 PM.
Other Perks
There’s also a private gym, so no waiting for equipment. Like everything else, you can book a slot through your butler to ensure privacy.
Was It Worth It?
Honestly, if I were planning a cruise, I might not have considered splurging on the Palace Suite. But after experiencing it as part of this media trip, I can see why it’s worth the price for those who want to indulge in a truly luxurious getaway. You’re paying for more than just luxury—you’re buying a few days of pure bliss. No worries, no stress, just indulgence.
Waking up to the sunrise from our balcony, being pampered by a butler, and enjoying quiet, private spaces made this trip unforgettable. If you’re ready to treat yourself, I’d say the Palace experience is worth it.
