Miss Saigon, winner of 70 major theatre awards, including two Olivier Awards, three Tony Awards, and four Drama Desk Awards, has been hailed as one of the greatest musicals of all time. Conceived by the creators of Les Misérables, Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Schönberg, this iconic musical has enraptured 38 million people worldwide, performed in 15 languages, across 32 countries and 350 cities.

The New Yorker declares it a “DYNAMITE BROADWAY REVIVAL,” adding to the global acclaim garnered by the production.

Cameron Mackintosh, speaking about the Singapore season, expresses his excitement: “I’m absolutely thrilled to be bringing my spectacular new production of Miss Saigon to Singapore. Without doubt, it is the best production of Saigon I have ever produced in Asia. I can’t envisage another show of this scale being done in Singapore for the foreseeable future.”

Chantal Prudhomme, CEO of Base Entertainment Asia, echoes the sentiment: “We are delighted to be working with Cameron Mackintosh, whose creative influence on the world of musical theatre has been unparalleled. Miss Saigon stands out as an epic story about love, loss, and resilience that transcends borders and connects with audiences all across the world.”

Miss Saigon narrates the poignant tale of Kim, a young Vietnamese woman orphaned by war, who works in a bar run by the notorious Engineer. Her love story with American G.I. Chris unfolds against the backdrop of the fall of Saigon, leading to a three-year epic journey of survival and a quest to reunite with Chris, unaware of fathering a son. Featuring a sensational cast and an unforgettable score, including classic hits like “The Heat is On in Saigon,” “The Movie in My Mind,” “Last Night of the World,” and “American Dream,” this new production promises an immersive experience.

The original production of Miss Saigon premiered in Australia in 1995 and returned in 2007. The current iteration opened in London in May 2014 to record-breaking sales and critical acclaim, subsequently gracing Broadway and embarking on a highly successful US Tour.
